The Anhui Provincial Key Lab of Graphics Computing and Perceptual Interaction (GCL) focuses on the frontier field of digital twins, carrying out basic research and industrial applications in areas such as the metaverse, digital twins, human-computer interaction, intelligent robots, etc. The lab is based at the University of Science and Technology of China, concentrating the innovative scientific and technological resources of other departments of the university in related directions, and mobilizing research resources in the field of virtual reality technology, aiming to achieve technological breakthroughs and innovative results at the international leading level, and promote the development of related fields. At the same time, the lab gathers and cultivates a cross-disciplinary talent team related to digital technology, forming a strategic scientific and technological force supporting the major needs of national and provincial innovation development; strengthens the key technology breakthroughs and layout of digital twins, creates a highland of scientific and technological innovation, responds to new situations and challenges, grasps new opportunities for digital development, attracts and accumulates innovative talents, and meets the major strategic needs of the country. The main research directions of the lab include deep perception technology, high-fidelity three-dimensional digitization, perceptual interaction technology, realistic rendering and three-dimensional display technology, etc.
