Di Zhang received his Ph.D. in Computational Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China, under the supervision of Professor Ligang Liu. His representative work focuses on the asymptotic analysis of shell lattice metamaterials, where he developed novel methods for analyzing periodic surfaces and established optimality conditions for their asymptotic properties. He also developed numerical discretization algorithms to optimize these asymptotic behaviors. In addition, he has proposed high-performance topology optimization algorithms for structural and microstructure design. His research has been published in leading journals and conferences, including the ACM SIGGRAPH, Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization, etc.
